104 Corporate Event Types in Indian Stock Filings
Listed Indian companies file a steady stream of disclosures with the NSE and BSE under SEBI's Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements, and regulators such as SEBI and the RBI publish their own orders and circulars. The engine reads each one and assigns it to exactly one of the 104 event types below, using fixed, published rules - never a language model's guess. The type decides which scoring priors apply; see the methodology for how a type becomes a score.

Why a fixed taxonomy
A dividend and a default are both "announcements" on the exchange feed, but they move a share price in opposite directions and deserve different evidence. Classifying by rule keeps the result reproducible: the same filing always lands in the same type, and any classification can be audited against the sentence that triggered it.
